Alzheimer's and Dr. Oz

Welcome again to Dr. OZ. Dr. Oz and Roizen have developed the Real Age phenomenon. Now the Dr. Oz show has become a site and show with information everybody can use. Some have even found that the truth is so real and terrifying that they don't like to hear it. A co-worker has said that Dr. Oz scares her. Good! The truth hurts and some can't handle it!
On Thursday, Dr. Oz talked about Alzheimer's disease. He talked about the warning signs, exercises, and nutrition and it blew my mind! The shrinking and deteriorating brain, he showed a healthy brain and an Alzheimer's brain that literally shrunk! He gave a memory quiz that I didn't do so well on.
Let me break it down for you in Dr. Oz's 3 ways to know or prevent the onset of Alzheimer's disease:
Physical Exercise:
Walking is good but Dancing is the best!
Mind Exercise:
Jigsaw and Crossword puzzles. One exercises the right and one exercises the left side of the brain. Since I am having a memory lapse* you can look up which is which or just DO IT!
Mind Nutrition:
Leafy greens especially SPINACH. Olive Oil. And get ready for this one...CURRY at least 2 times a week. India has the least cases of Alzheimer's and dementia according to Dr.Oz. He recommends eating India foods at least twice a week.
Curry! The smell is nauseating to me, but it has to become a staple in my diet now!
I've changed my lifestyle a lot thanks to Real Age, and now the ultimate change has to occur for me as we start closing in to fighting Alzheimer's!
*keep in mind I work graveyard shift and as others gain weight, I am successfully losing weight! As I prepare for sleep my mind may not be as sharp at 10 am where I get ready for sleep.
