Boosting Memory With Fatty Foods

May 1st 2009 17:29
It appears that eating fatty foods may boost your memory. Of course we are talking about the 'good fats' such as olive oil, grape seed oil, and acai berries. These foods contain Oleic Acid(OEA) which is converted into memory-enhancing signals in the brain that recall emotional events. OEA has other benefits such as lowering cholesterol and promoting weight loss.

The study shows that diet plays an important part in brain activity. It is yet a step forward in the fight against Alzheimer's. We still have a long way to go, but research is winning battles. We are also learning from the article that what's good for the heart is good for the brain.

I always use olive oil on my salads and other foods. I think I should try the grape seed oil and acai berries!
