Eating Healthy Without Going Broke
February 11th 2007 22:18
The Health Industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. Here's a way to eat healthy without going broke. I find that for the most part, I have eaten healthy all my life. I also find that once foods I have consumed are declared 'healthy' that prices skyrocket. I was practically brought up on fruits and salads, which soon skyrocketed in price. Take niacin, otherwise known as B-3. I have always taken niacin supplements because I may have seen the good before others. I believed it helped circulation and may have indicated a Vitamin B deficiency.
The warming and itching is today considered niacinamide poisoning. I think it is a way of telling that the body needs more B vites. This is another arguement and will be discussed at another time. The thing about health is that it is ever-changing but yet remains the same in a basic formula. I look at health books as old as forty years and somethings change...but still remain the same.
In a book from 1977, niacin was called a wonder vitamin. I still am a firm believer in vitamin B-3, and now you can expect prices and doses to increase substantially. Now scientists are finding it slows aging. Niacin is a supplement I would recommend adding to your diet.
