The Downside of Yogurt
July 13th 2008 19:40
In my entry about yogurt, I said Dannon was one that made the criteria of what constitutes a healthy yogurt. This based on the article about what makes a healthy yogurt. I never mentioned Activia and I want that noted. Store brands that meet the requirements are just as good.
I believe that yogurt has health benefits but that that may vary among different individuals. I am proof that it does regulate the digestive system to an extent. It's benefits are both good for men and women but ads seem to target women. Activia gets questioned over whether its self-proclaimed health benefits are real. The benefits of yogurt are real but greed makes us overdose on a good thing. Maybe some don't need it everyday and you can't beat the weight loss and calcium benefits!
Stick to basics rather than buying the more expensive and hyped brands of yogurt. It is still great for energy and body building. It even seems to be tolerable by the lactose intolerant. The benefits seem to outweigh the negatives!

I agree about the 'overdosing' people can be so foolish, falling for the advertising hype and not being particularly wll informed, a 'bright' blog, signifying all the colours of nutrition?
Well done
