My Risk For Pancreatic Cancer

Since a co-worker lost his father to pancreatic cancer, I've been on a mission to find a cause that might be a factor for me and my lifestyle. The Dr. Oz TV show talked about it and said that we need to learn the symptoms from the beginning. He said jaundice is an early warning sign. Then abdominal pain followed by white stool. My co-worker said his father never had jaundice. He had back pains and he never saw the stool. I found that there are different types(at least 2) of pancreatic cancers. Here's some detailed information.


My co-worker raised my alert when he said that a nurse that was tending to his father said she had noticed that there is an increase in pancreatic cancer among Italians. I then began to analyze the comment and start planning my research. I knew I had to base the comment if it is prevalent with Italians in general, Italians in the USA, or Italians in my area. Italy is not high on cases. The US could be. I found that blacks are more inclined to this cancer worldwide.

I thought I was on a discovery that nobody had taken credit for on this one. Unfortunately the information was already there, but it goes to show how my mind works and how sometimes the answer is staring you in the face! When I looked at worldwide statistics, I found that pancreatic cancer was down in Canada. I soon researched a common food that Italians must have. The answer is white bread and pasta. The Canadian government passed a law prohibiting the “enrichment” of white bread with synthetic vitamins. Bread must contain the original vitamins found in the grain, not imitations.


One bleaching agent, chloride oxide, combined with whatever proteins are still left in the flour, produces alloxan. Alloxon is a poison and has been used to produce diabetes in laboratory animals. Chlorine oxide destroys the vital wheat germ oil.

In Italy for the most part, the bread is whole wheat, made from the grain...fyi. Yes they have the Italian bread you are familiar with does exist, and I liked it but my parents called it the equivalent of unhealthy trash!

White bread and pasta called enriched or bleached are a factor of pancreatic cancer. I found 'EUREKA!', here. It indicates that the chemicals in white bread and pastas put a tremendous strain on the pancreas to remove the toxins from the body!

I thought that I had made a discovery that would help find yet another cause to an unanswered question. My co-worker told me that the doctors told him that only smoking, drinking and advanced diabetes were known causes. I thought, "Wow! Is it possible that I discovered yet another cause to this death sentence cancer?"

If you do your own research and come up with a logical conclusion it might have already been discovered. So I needed to find if there was already a discovered link.

A 10 year study in the UK about pancreatic cancer found that the cancer went down in the UK. Maybe we should heed the advice here!

We lag behind in real early detection of pancreatic cancer. Early enough to save a generation, anyway. But I love Italian and 'white' bread that has been a staple for most of my life. I consumed enough to put me at risk. I smoked and I still drink. I am not a diabetic.

In my case I have to go cold turkey on bread in general or buy bread at a health food store. Even the "Whole" ingredient comes with additives such as soy and HFCS. I could go buy bread at an expensive health food store! The bottom line is that these additives far outweigh the overall toll of WHITE ENRICHED BLEACHED bread or pasta.

Keep in mind that pizza dough may also count in this white bleached enriched flour dough!
