Omnivores

Sometimes I feel like I keep repeating myself, especially when it comes to our dietary needs. All in moderation is not bad. What is bad is when we only eat one type of food, such as all vegetables or all meat diets. Like it or not, humans are omnivorous and need a variety of foods to survive. You truly can't survive on bread alone!
I also noted that as a species we may be classified as a scavenger. Our stomaches do not resemble the carnivore's or herbivore's stomaches. We can't live on ONLY one or the other, but need a combination. In hard times, one type of food can sustain us for a period of time, but for health we must have a combination.
Many swear by a vegetarian, or a more radical vegan, diet as the healthiest in the world for human's health and well being. At another time, I'll get into the Atkin's carnivore diet and tell why that ultimately fails.
Now comes a new study that claims that an all vegetable diet may shrink the brain. Many needed vitamins are found only in meat. I really doubt that taking a vitamin would rectify the problem but might slow the shrinking.
It also takes alcohol consumption and affects on the brain. Now beer is less damaging than wine!
Regardless if you think this study is true or not, I still believe that a no-meat or no-vegetable diet isn't healthy. Too much plant matter may contain too much of a questionable health benefit such as estrogen.
