Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive cancer that surely signs the person diagnosed to certain death. I've known a few people with it, and all have died within two years. Little has been known about this cancer, especially on what causes it. This cancer has continued to remain a mystery.
Until now...
Excess weight raises the risk for pancreatic cancer. Being overweight or obese at a younger age raised the risk of pancreatic cancer higher than at an older age.
These early findings and links are a step in the right direction toward treatments of this deadly disease.
Then again there is a study that says a few extra pounds may increase your longevity. I think the key word is 'few extra'.
