Peace Of Mind

There is a growing arguement of whether Organic is better overall than conventional foods. I say it isn't, and most of my reasoning can be found in this article that talks about how organics are nothing more than a peace of mind.
When spinich and other foods were contaminated with salmonella and E. coli, I reasoned that the cause was animal manure used over conventional fertilizer. I think people tend to overblow things they really don't understand and almost create a fright frenzy. We fear radiation of food, much like we feared microwaves. Look at microwaves now.
If you think about it, the foods we label as healthy were never organic when they were labeled as such. Organic isn't any different than conventional. Both can have their pros and cons. I guess it's a matter of choice or beliefs.
My belief is that organics really are a peace of mind. It would be great if they didn't cost more than conventional foods. I feel healthy with the conventional foods I eat. It's bad enough when they label foods 'healthy' because prices shoot up. I ate salads, vegetables and fruits and many health foods all my life. Some were only available during their true season. Once they label them 'healthy' the prices increased. That's the 'organic' concept, in my opinion.
