Prostate Cancer Breakthrough

The Mayo Clinic may have had success with an experimental therapy in treating prostate cancer. The agent that was tested was an immunotherapeutic drug called MDX-010, or ipilimumab. It followed a hormone therapy that the men went through.

It resulted in men with an aggressive cancer being cancer-free as a result. The MRIs showed no sign of the cancer, nor did they find any cancer during surgery.This may well be a breakthrough in curing other types of cancers.
