Resolution Restitution
January 2nd 2011 22:18
Well it's that time again, the new year and old resolutions. I'm sure many stick to their resolutions, but if you're like many of us, the resolutions are short-lived and doomed to failure. That's why I stopped making resolutions. If anything is going to happen, it will happen when it happens and not necessarily at the beginning of the year. I quit smoking in February, joined the gym in June, started eating healthier in September. These occurred at different years throughout my life.
If you want to be healthier in 2011, you must change your lifestyle. There are no diets to a healthy lifestyle, just eating the right kinds of foods and exercise. One of the best way to start is to keep a food and exercise log. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, try this one!
Instead of making New Years' resolutions, I look at my successes of the past year and see what needs to be corrected in other fields. Then again maybe, just maybe, resolutions might not be a waste of time!
