Is Life Better On The Beach?
May 5th 2007 00:44
Hey guys. Sorry I have been absent lately - I've been working on the new blog, and sleeping a lot. The antibiotics have kicked in though, and my back is feeling a lot better.
I've stalled somewhat in my weight loss on low carb - and have occasionally indulged in high-carb treats (the most recent being mini Cinnabons). Some people find that this jump starts their weight loss, but I think that adding some healthy carbs might help with the cravings. I've got four months to lose 15 more pounds - my doctor has told me not to go too crazy, but I'd really like to make it to my goal weight in time for the wedding. This doesn't especially seem like a tall order, but it does to me when I'm only losing a few pounds per month.
So, I'm wondering if the grass is greener - or the sand is softer
- on South Beach. I ordered the book, which should be coming pretty soon. On the low carb board I post on , there is a section for South Beach, and since the first phase is low carb, I shouldn't (or I hope I shouldn't) have any problems. I hope I can incorporate more healthy carbs in later phases, and have more vegetarian options (Atkins is heavy on meat).
Has anyone tried South Beach, and what were your results? Let me know in the comments
