Spot-Reducing Cream That Works

February 15th 2007 16:58
In an earlier post, I mentioned reading some good reviews of Avon's Cellusculpt cream. A lot of people said it helped flatten their stomachs, so last week I ordered myself some.
It comes in a big lavender tube and just looks like lotion - smells OK, I guess. For a few days I used it without necessarily seeing any difference, but I told myself to give it time. Loreal makes a similar product, and theirs mentions that it takes about three weeks.
However, this morning when I woke up, (I use the cream every night) my stomach was noticably flatter. When I saw myself in the mirror I could hardly believe it, given that I have been eating and exercising exactly the same as I was.

My stomach is my biggest complaint - it's not big, but it could definitely be flatter. It's been there at all the weights I've been at. Exercise does some good - however it can't spot-reduce. Since I don't have the money to get a tummy tuck (although it has been on my mind), this cream is the next best thing.
The major con: It's temporary. Whatever this cream is doing, if I stop using it I know my stomach will go back to its not-flat shape. However, a big tube of Cellusculpt only cost me about $5 on eBay.
This will be my secret weapon come swimsuit season. I will continue using this as long as they keep making it!

I think you can decrease the size of specific body parts relative to the rest. Over training something in a systematic way will result in its shrinking. If you want a smaller anything you can get it by working it every workout. If you want a less fat something ...well... thats the hard part.
