The Exercise Factor

I've been trying to avoid talking about the importance of exercise in one's overall health and well-being. That's because I personally feel that when it comes to exercise, we are all different individuals with individual needs. Not everything will work for everyone and it is up to the individual to find a happy medium that works.
There was a time that I walked over six miles a day but continued to be overweight. I use to do weight training everyday(due to my job) yet continued to smoke over two packs of cigarettes a day. When exercising, one has to decide if they want to do it for overall health, body sculpting, targeting certain muscles, weight control, etc.
Exercise and results differ based on everything from sex, race, national origin, etc., and even one's personal motivation plays a part. The best type of exercise is to mix weight training, aerobics, and relaxing mental exercises(such as yoga). Weight training should be limited to 2-4 times a week. Aerobics should be done everyday, even if it means doing as little as walking vigorously for 10 minutes. Relaxing exercises should be done at least 5 days a week. If you get into a routine and target specifics, it may take lesser time than you think to reap the benefits of exercise. I get most of my exercise at work and I tend to make a game of it!
Personally, I am against any type of miracle cure if it leaves out exercise. You will not PERMANENTLY lose weight if you only rely on diet and a pill. Even if you are at a perfect weight, your overall health will still suffer if you lead a sedentary life.
Here are some easy exercises you can start with. Here are more simple exercises.
I should just give out this resource page where even the ones that are selling something offer useful information. Developing a routine that works should also be considered as you find a happy medium for yourself. You should consider that maybe your job offers exercise benefits. For example when I worked as a sanitation worker, I got the aerobic and weight exercise, and needed a relaxing mental exercise for the balance. Doing housework may be considered exercise. You might get my point why I feel that exercise is a personal thing, and no two are totally the same.
Exercise is important to our overall health and there is no avoiding it in our lives. To do so will rob us of our life. There are no magic pills or potions that will replace exercise...if nothing else keep that last remark in mind!
