The Wonders of Yogurt
July 7th 2008 15:02
It seems that we have discovered a new way to cure what ails you. It's called yogurt.
Before I go on, ALWAYS consult your physician on all prblems and disorders before you self-diagnose and write a prescription for you. Continued problems can't be 'cured' by starting some sort of healthy regiment. Keep in mind that if you are lactose-intolerant, for example, yogurt may have the reverse affect.
Yogurt has been praised for relieving bowel discomforts and building up the immune system. First you need to make sense of yogurt. Look at both the natural ingredients and added ingredients. Yogurt is always good for you and many have started the one-a-day regiment. For me and others, it seems to be working in the digesting department.
Normally, I would think that plain yogurt is probably better than the others. Not so if you know what you're looking for! Not to promote any product, but of all the varieties I tried so far, Dannon varieties come closest to the article.
Yogurt can ease symptoms of IBS. It can help boost a new mom's energy.
Other benefits from studies say yogurt can aid in lowering BP, it can boost your metabolism, and I could go on and on. Still when you talk about Healthy Eating there is always a mention of yogurt.

Yogurt is considered great for digestion in many Indian communities... and I have lots of relatives really gung ho about it. But it doesn't suit my system...

Thanks for the info, because here in the US it is currently the rave of health. I always try to stress consulting with a doctor because we are all different in our diets. Things that work for some, might not for others!
