Unhealthiest Drinks
June 2nd 2008 15:07
Is bottled water healthier than tap water? The answer is NO. Municipal water is regulated moreso than bottled variety. This isn't to say that there is anything wrong with bottled water, but sometimes you'd be better off saving your money.
I use to love soda and other carbonated beverages so I enjoy drinking club soda or seltzer water, PLAIN not fruity! Sometimes I'll add a Crystal Light or similar product to regular tap water. As a rule, I never buy bottled plain water.
When it comes to bottled water it is always a let-the-buyer-beware, because most still practice the Dasani fact. It always made me wonder why Evian spelled backwards is Naive. Coincidence...perhaps! I don't think that we have reached the end of the line when it comes to PT Barnum's comment that 'there's one born every minute!'
But your water tendancies are always a matter of choice and sometimes you have no choice but to go against them. At an airport, for example, I would buy bottled water rather than drinking from the fountain. I would think twice about using any 'public fountain' not for the water, but rather for the hygiene. That's just my choice.
We have to stop following the entertainers that endorse products that seem to be 'good' for us. They get paid to reel you...actually your money...in to buy the product!
Here are some drinks that may or may not give you the illusion of being healthy when they aren't! The Unhealthiest drink is probably obvious.
